



Only 15 minutes from your campsite, the Lac du Jaunay will welcome you to appreciate some fresh air in complete peace, within a pleasant setting, arranged for the whole family to enjoy.
Cycling or walking, come and discover the surroundings of the lake, thanks to a trail of 13km in the heart of a diversified landscape.
During your walk, the fauna and flora will reveal themselves to the curious ones, and the observatory walkway -situated at the mill Les Rochelles- is the ideal spot to observe the wildlife. You may even be lucky enough to spot some tree frogs, grey herons, kingfishers, otters or tawny owls.
In Summer, choose your ride to slide on the lake.
From the dock of La Baudrière, or the place called “Le Pré”, you can opt for a canoe ride or rent a pedal boat. It will be the perfect opportunity to spend some quality time with your friends or family, on these 16km of waterways.
To fully enjoy your day, why not eat there as well? Bring your picnic and take a break at one of the dedicated areas, or choose to eat at l’Auberge du Jaunay, the inn ideally situated facing the lake.
The fishing fans will be able to enjoy this activity all year round. Pikes, pikeperches, carps, and various fishes are waiting for you on this amazing site. A shared space has been arranged at the spot “La Baudrière”, to allow families and mobility-impaired people, to practice their hobby in complete safety. Nearly 9 km of trails are also opened for those who would like to go carp fishing at night. If you need a fishing permit, you can easily get one at the Tourist Office, or the bar “Le Lagon” in Landevieille.
Travelling with kids? Enjoy a more playful visit thanks to “Geocaching”. This unusual activity consists of using GPS coordinates to find or hide a treasure and will send you around the lake on the steps of “Little Sylvain”. The pleasure of hiking, are here reunited with games and discovery, in this modern-day form of treasure hunting. And if you enjoy this activity, you can find it again in multiple sites of Vendee!
