Head for Les Sables-d'Olonne, the jewel of the Vendée. Stroll along its long beach, admire the boats in the marina or treat yourself to a wellness break at one of the nearby thalassotherapy centers.
Water sports enthusiasts will be delighted: sailing, paddling, kayaking or fishing will punctuate your days at the water's edge. For the more curious, Landevieille is an excellent base from which to explore the region's rich cultural and gastronomic heritage. The surrounding castles, churches and museums tell the fascinating story of the Vendée, while the local markets and restaurants invite you to discover regional specialities such as mogette, préfou or fresh oysters enjoyed on the terrace.
