La Grande Plage
During your stay at the Évasion campsite near Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, discover the Grande Plage de St Gilles Croix de Vie... 3 km of pure happiness facing the ocean! Located between the fishing port of St Gilles and "Le Jaunay", this is the most beautiful and extensive beach in St Gilles.
A pleasant pedestrian promenade runs along the beach, with its many bars and restaurants... A must if you're planning to visit Saint Gilles Croix de Vie, the great beach!
Situated along a pedestrian embankment where you'll find restaurants and shops, the Grande Plage is right in the center of town, allowing you to combine discovering the seaside resort with a visit to the beach.

Free parking is available nearby. The beach is supervised in season and has PRM access.
A few tips: in summer, the beach is overrun with towels, especially on the dune and jetty sides, and the middle of the beach at high tide is impassable (see tide calendar). The south of Grande plage is more natural, and the further you move towards the dune, the more likely you are to find a good spot for your towel! Please note that it is possible to surf at St Gilles in a restricted area.
Don't hesitate to go there at low tide, as the beach is very quiet, allowing you to play with the kids without disturbing your neighbors!
